SISSY – Rooftop Sculpture

Elizabeth Arthotel, Ischgl

For the Elizabeth Arthotel in Ischgl, we created the sculpture Sissy,” a work dedicated to the hotel’s founder, Elisabeth Aloys. Her nickname “Sissy” echoes the name of Empress Elisabeth of Austria and creates a bridge between personal family history and cultural memory.

Thank you! Dust can always happen with sculpture, but fortunately the surface is easy to clean. Your mini air blower idea sounds like a great solution.

Our sculpture “Sissy,” installed on the hotel’s rooftop terrace, becomes a visual landmark within the Alpine landscape of Ischgl. The work is conceived as a contemporary homage to female presence, memory and the transmission of vision across generations.

With this sculpture, we wanted to create a dialogue between place, history and the present moment. “Sissy” symbolises the women whose ideas and courage shape spaces and communities over time.

As artists, we believe that giving form to stories is a way of honouring those who came before us. By transforming memory into sculpture, we celebrate the visions that continue to shape our present and inspire the future.
